The geometric design on the top of the table was carved from plywood using the CNC machine in 3 batches, each batch was stained in a different shade. The individual pieces were then put together like a jigsaw and glued to the table base then a surround of pine was added to the edges before the whole was varnished to protect. A simple table base was made from solid pine with a shelf added below before being painted white to contrast and match the room.
