Where St Helens Heritage Centre now stands was the site of an archaeological dig with finds being dated back as far as 10,000 BC. To celebrate this and to get kids involved in the sites history this 'digging box' was commisioned. There will be archaeological finds fixed to the bottom of the box which will be covered with sand ready to be unearthed with the use of brushes. Also fitted with a removeable lid and shelf underneath this will also double as a practical outside table
