This piece was custom designed for use in a space themed games / cinema room as a functional cupboard capable of storing books, games, DVD’s, etc, but it also needed to give that Scifi aesthetic too, inspired by many films and games from the genre such as Alien, Star Wars & Fallout.

 

The main cupboard is made from 18mm MDF and has many layers of laser cut decoration applied to build up including vents, bolts, panels and an air lock handle as well as a secret compartment in the base secured by strong magnets.

 

The paint job was kept a simple gloss white with orange, grey & silver accents. I think the addition of the ‘supply locker 04’ badge just finishes the look.
